Plans for the North East Quadrant

This is on the corner bettween Burgess road, Broadlands Road and University Road. Officially named Building 75 (B75) to mark the 75th anniversary of the university receiving its Royal Charter.

Update Oct 2026: ️ Building 75 will serve as a new campus gateway . It will integrate cutting-edge lecture theatres, seminar rooms, flexible independent/group study areas, and a new home for the Primary Care Research Centre . It also features student welfare spaces including a café, nursing room, and multi-faith spaces.

This material is all taken from the (public) University Strategic Estates Plan 2022-2027 (Click here to download complete plan)

The NEQ site is strategically located on the campus in that it can provide the missing landscape link between residential areas to the north and east with landscaped areas on the Campus and the Common via Salisbury Road.

The NEQ project consists of two buildings and will take place in two phases. Each building will be accompanied by high quality landscaping, the majority of which will be delivered in Phase 1 to create an attractive setting for the new building.
